Teaching of Adhan Abu Mahdhoorah related to us: “The Prophet of Allah taught me the Adhan personally. He told me to say: Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar; Ash-hadu-al-laa-ilaaha-il-lal-laah, ash-hadul al-laa-ilaaha il-lal-laah, ash-hadu an-na Muhammadar rasoo-lu-laah, ashhadu an-na Muhammadr rasoo-lu-laah. He, then, told me to repeat it: Ash-hadu al-laailaaha il-lal-laah, ash-hadu al-laa-ilaaha illal- lah; ash-hadu an-na Muhammadar rasoolul- laah, ashhadu an-na Muhammadar Rasool-lu-lah, hayya alas-salaah; hayya alassalaah; hayya alal-falah, hayya alal-falah; Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar; laa ilaaha illa- llah. (Muslim) Narrates Abu Mahdhoorah that the Apostle of Allah taught me Adhan, 19 Kalimas, and Iqamah, 17 Kalimas.” (Musnad Ahmad, Tirmidhi, Abu Dawood, Nasai, Darimi and Ibn Majah)MUFTI MUHAMMAD SHAFI
It is narrated by Abu Dharr Ghiffari (ra) that one day he came before the august presence of the Apostle of Allah. After it (either Abu Dharr himself or the subsequent narrator who has narrated it on his authority) relates a long Tradition (which is not included here). During the conversation that followed, Abu Dharr Ghifari addressed the Holy Prophet (saws), "O Apostle of God! Give me some advice." The Holy Prophet (saws) replied, "I exhort you to the piety of the Lord for it will embellish your deeds." Abu Dharr relates that he, then, said, "Give me some more advice." The Prophet replied, "I exhort you to make Tilawat and Zikr compulsory for yourself for Tilawat and Zikr will be the cause of your name being mentioned in the assembly of the angels and there will be light for you on the earth." Abu Dharr relates that he, again, said, "O Messenger of Allah! Give me some more advice." The Prophet said, "Cultivate the habit of keeping silence much and talking little for it possesses the quality of repelling Satan and helping you in the domain of Faith." Abu Dharr (ra) relates that he, further, said, "Give me some more advice." The Prophet said, "Do not laugh much for it kills the heart and deprives one's face of radiance." Abu Dharr (ra) relates that, once again, he said, "O Prophet of Allah! Please give me some more advice." The Prophet (saws) observed, "Speak always the truth though it may be bitter (for the people)." Abu Dharr (ra) relates that he, again, said, "Give me some more advice." The Prophet said, "Care not for the reproach of him who reproaches in the Path of God." Abu Dharr relates that he, again, said, "Give me some more advice." The Prophet said, "What you know about yourself and your innermost self should be enough to prevent you from seeking out the faults of others." (Baihaqi)MUFTI MUHAMMAD SHAFIBaihaqi
Hasan Al-Basri narrated that the Prophet of Allah (saws) said, "The people of this Ummah will continue to live under the protection and safeguard of Allah Almighty until their learned people should not appease to their ruling class and its righteous group vindicate the wicked ones and its good-doers provide hope and solace to the evil-doers. Once they do that, Allah Almighty will lift off His protection from them, and then He will abandon them to the mercy of the oppressors of their people who will wreak the worst kind of torture upon them. He will make them suffer destitution and penury and fill their hearts with fear."MUFTI SHUAIBULLAH KHAN(Ar-Raqaiq, Abdullah Ibn al-Mubarak: 821, As-Sunan al-Waridah fil-Fitan, 3:696)
Abu Said Al-Khudri reported that the Messenger of Allah (saws) said: "You will surely follow in the ways of those before you, span by span and cubit by cubit, so much so that if they were to enter an iguana's hole, you would follow after them." We said, "O Messenger of Allah, do you mean the Jews and the Christians?" He replied, "Then, who else?" In another hadith of Imam Tirmidhi's Sunan it is reported on the authority of Abdullah Ibn Amr that the Prophet of Allah (saws) further said, "If there was a person among them who went unto his mother publicly, there will also appear some in my Ummah who will do the same."MUFTI SHUAIBULLAH KHAN(Bukhari: 3197, Muslim: 4822, Ahmad: 11372, Tirmidhi: 2565, Hakim Mustadrak, 1:218)
Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (saws) said, "When your leaders are righteous among you, and the rich among you are generous, and your affairs are decided on the basis of mutual consultation, then the outer part of the earth is better for you than its lower. However, when your leaders are the worst among you and the rich among you are miserly, and your affairs are controlled by your women, then the inner part of the earth is better for you than its outer."MUFTI SHUAIBULLAH KHANNA
Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (saws) said, "If the people of my community ever come to attach a lot of significance to this material world, the awe-inspiring effect of Islam will be taken away from them. And if they ever abandon the task of enjoining what is good and forbidding from what is wrong, they will be deprived of the blessings of divine revelations. And if they start to curse one another, they will be degraded in the sight of Allah."MUFTI SHUAIBULLAH KHAN[Nawadir Al-Usul Hakim Tirmidhi: 2:270]
Zainab Bint Jahsh said: One day, the Prophet got up from his sleep; his face flushed, and he said, "La ilaha Illal lah, (There is no god but Allah). Woe to the Arabs, for a great evil, which is nearly approaching them. Today a gap has been made in the wall of Gog and Magog like this." Then the Prophet formed a ring by his thumb and the index finger to indicate the size of the hole in the wall. On this, Zainab asked, “Shall we be destroyed even though there are righteous people among us?" The Prophet said, "Yes, if evils increase."MUFTI SHUAIBULLAH KHAN(Bukhari: 3097, Muslim: 5128, Tirmidhi: 2113, Ibn Majah: 3943, Ahmad: 26145, Ibn Hibban, 2:34, Shuab Al- Iman, Baihaqi, 6: 98)
Hour of Exceptional Propitiousness on a Friday: It is related by Abu Hurairah that the Prophet of Allah said: "There comes a time on a Friday when if a Muslim bondsman is fortunate enough to supplicate to God for something worth having, God grants it (to him)." (Bukhari And Muslim)Not Specified
Salatul TasbihIt is related by Abdullah Ibn Abbas that one day the Prophet of Allah said to his uncle, Abbas Ibn Abdul Muttalib: “O Abbas! O my respected uncle! May I offer you a precious gift and a valuable present? May I tell you something special? May I do ten jobs for you and render you ten services (i.e., tell you about an act from which ten benefits may accrue)? (It is such an act that if you perform it) Allah will forgive you all your sins, of the past as well as the future, older as well as newer, intentional as well as unintentional, major as well as minor, hidden as well as manifest. (It is Salatul Tasbih, and the method of offering it is) that you say 4 Rak’ahs of Nafl and recite Surah Al-Fatihah and some other Surah in every Rak’ah. When you have finished the recital in the first Rak’ah say,“Subhan Allah wa al-hamdu lil-laah wa laa ilaaha il-lallaah wa allahu akbar” 15 times while still standing, and, then, perform Ruku and say it 10times in it, and, then, say it 10 times, again, in the state of Qayam, as you arise from Ruku, and, then, perform Sajdah and say it 10 times during Sajdah also, and, then, say it 10 times in Jalsah, as you rise up from Sajdah, and, then say it 10 times in the second Sajdah, and, then 10 times after it (i.e., before getting up from the second Sajdah). Offer all the 4 Rak’ahs like that and utter the Kalimah of Subhan Allah wa al-hamdu lil-lah wa laa ilaaha il-lallaah wa allahuAkbar 75 times (in all) in the same order in every Rak’ah. (My uncle), if you can manage it, say this prayer every day, and if you cannot do so every day then every Friday, and if even that be not possible, once in a year, and in case it, too, cannot be done then once in your life.” (AbuDawood, Ibn Majah and Al-Baihaqi)Not Specified
